THOSE LAZY HAZY CRAZY DAYS OF SUMMER

Posted by Picasa

As the season rinds down all of Gods creatures are enjoying every last intense ray of sunshine, picnics by the river, dips in the pool and the sweet luscious savoring of the last bite of watermelon. I had to share this picture of Chalky (Chocolate Drop), one of many donkeys who dwell on the Ponderosa, gettin' into his summer melon. He finds the cool juicy treat as delicious as this farm chick knowing that, "Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer", are soon to end. How are you going to enjoy this glorious summer day???

  1. It is a hot humid day here in NC so I am spending it inside. The picture of your donkey eating the watermelon is delightful! Good news about your friend.

  2. LOL! I love the pictures! I spent the day emptying out our school cabinet from last year and have the daunting task of finding a place for all this *stuff* before I go to bed tonight! Yikes! It was a perfect summer day though and the kids kept busy outside so I was able to accomplish much :-)

  4. I spent my August 17th sleeping part of the day away. (I work nights.) Then Fred and I went to Clarksville to see District 9, took a drive in the country, saw two tobacco barns already smoking, went through a brief summer downpour, stopped by a roadside stand and bought field corn for making creamed corn tomorrow, and got KFC for supper. Afterwards, I sat on the front porch with a glass of lemonade and took pictures of hummingbirds at the feeder.
    Oh, what a glorious day!
