Folks, I gotta tell ya'll right here and now ya'll should be all over this book like a starvin' hobo on a fresh made country ham sandwich. I had a blast and a half readin' it! This rockin' pastor's wife has written from her extremely hilarious life adventures in the form of easy read short stories which are supported by scripture and summed up with the knowledge of biblical points. Believe me when I say there's not a dry word in the lot. The seventy two stories can easily be used as a daily devotional or simply a wonderfully funny yet meaningful piece of God's word. If "Two Scoops of Grace with Chuckles on Top" don't light your fire, your wood is wet!!!
I met this upliftin' beautiful gal over at her blog " On Wings of Mirth and Worth "and fell in love with her inspirational humor and quick wit. Seems others have too!!! Heck, this award~winnin' author is more popular than a slimy juicy night-crawler at a fish hatchery. Miss Jeanette authors a humor/inspirational column, 'God is Bigger' in the Paris (Illinois not France) Beacon News and is published in Guidepost. Why, she even has stories in the "Love is a Verb Devotional" with Gary Chapman (ya gotta love that Gary!). Not only does she fill her calendar with public speekin', she's written for magazines, greetin' cards and poems for calendars. Yep, this girl's busier than a one eyed man at a burlesque show!
Oh, did I mention that this gorgeous author's generous as all get out too? Ya'll can win one of ten free downloads of Jeanette Levellie's debut humor devotional, "Two Scoops of Grace with Chuckles on Top," for your very own readers or a $100.00 gift card by sharin' this post link on Facebook, Twitter or your blog. For each 'like' on Jeanette's Author Page, Two Scoops Book Page and her personal Facebook page, follow her on Twitter and her blog and she will count each of these acts as another entry. Please enter as many as you can and pop over to let her know at 'On Wings of Mirth and Worth'. Sorry, all the links won't allow me in since I don't Facebook or Tweet. Shoot, I'm just a simple kinda chick... it's just the way I fly!!!
Originally known as the Hi~Fi's then the Versatiles this smooth soundin' group became The Fifth Dimension toward the latter part of 1966. I can pick up 'Two Scoops" and "be taught to laugh when I find cow patties in my field 'stead of daisies", "discover the bottomless heart of God" or "grow in the acceptance of myself and others" as I read this delightful devotional each and every "Day by Day!!!
Ya'll can purchase "Two Scoops of Grace with Sprinkles" on Top at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and CBD.
Check out Scoops book trailer here.
Jeanette's contest ends midnight May 10th and winners will be announced Sunday May 13th.
Good luck ya'll!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't Facebook or Tweet!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a good read.
ReplyDelete....and I'm another who doesn't tweet or do facebook.
great post, nezzy. it does sound like a good book. thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeletei'm no expert at this twitter thing...oh,
and i do not facebook.
have a lovely day!
xoxo
Sounds like a great book. Thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing you are...WHAT A HOOT! I DO BELIEVE that there is a special place on earth and in heaven for GOD'S HUMOR to shine and woman, you are the queen !!!!! It is a super duper blessing as well to see that we can look at life from the laughter angle to make sense of our lives. THIS LOOKS LIKE A GREAT READ!!!! Have a fun and fabulous day dearest Nezzy! Anita
ReplyDeleteSounds like something I would enjoy! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteYour so cute Nezzy! Ok now, classic Nezzy- busier than a one-eyed man at a burlesque show! hehehe!
ReplyDeleteI fb so I will check this out..sounds like a great read and great give-away too!
Hugs my funny friend!
Cindy
It sounds like a really pleasing book to read. We all need to laugh while being lifted up.
ReplyDeleteI admit being one of the no FB/twitter bunch.
You need to write a book of Nezzyisms. You crack me up.
I agree with Anita above...you are a hoot and I love every one of your posts. I do facebook and I have a twitter. Facebook keeps me in touch with my kids and grandkids. In fact my 9 year old got me set up on facebook. Twitter is a little out of my league. I think it is geared more to the younger crowd. Have a wonderful day. By the way you spell ya'll like I do but my iPhone autocorrects it to y'all. Obviously a younger tech person who was not from the south.
ReplyDeleteJeanette is such a sweet blessing, love her.
ReplyDeleteThere is not much that doesn't get better with a little humor and Jeanette sounds like a lady who knows how to make lots of things better. I will go over and have a look at her book.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nezzie, for sticking me in the same pot with hobos, one-eyed men, and the 5th Dimension--I can't do much better than that!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet to have me today, and I apprecaite the shout out re: my contests. Y'all need to enter--you have a good chance to win, since only a few have entered for the 10 downloads, and only one for the $100 gift card!!!
I forgot to mention: my taleneted, professional animator son did 10 drawings, sprinkled throughout the book, for more laughter than a two-year-old with an all-day sucker!
Love, Jen
I bet she's hilarious! And preachers having sex on Sunday? I should ask my Priest if he does.
ReplyDeletem.
You can tell she's a good person from her pictures. I'll go take a look, Nezzy. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun read!
ReplyDeleteI don't tweet yet, but I chirp. Ha. I DO Facebook to see what my family is up to. Is that wrong?
Teresa
Nothing wrong with no FB or Twitter--I see too many parents with their heads buried in an electronic device while their sons and daughters achieve unwatched on the sports field/court.
ReplyDeleteJeanette's wit is always appreciated.
she sounds like a hoot - just like you. :)
ReplyDeleteGotta love Jen! Her message of grace mixed with humor is simply wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful book and blog; I'll have to check it out! Wise woman you are to stay away from Facebook!! Hope you are enjoying spring!

Sounds like a really funny book! FYI, when I came to visit your site, it gave me a warning that your background provide "Shabby Blogs" contains malware and might distribute viruses. Just thought you might want to know. I got the same message when I visited my sister's blog, who also uses Shabby Blogs for her background. Hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for bringing this book to our attention! Blessings, Jackie
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon my precious Nezzy!
ReplyDeleteYou are SO RIGHT MY DEAR, about school. (it is the parents that sometimes give the biggest challenges! shhhhhhh)
We can deal with the kids. They can deal with US. They can learn to make sense of what we do and say, out of our LOVE FOR THEN and our professional point of view. But it IS the other party that often gives the most run for our money!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSPIRATION MY FRIEND! Anita

ReplyDeleteI have Facebook, but rarely use it; I think I signed up for Twitter but I am too wordy for Twitter; I signedup for Google+ only to get more photo space. But never fear; I just scooted over to Amazon and bought the e-book for my Kindle. I had a credit with them from a trade-in of an older Kindle to the touch screen Kindle. What better way to spend some of it?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun book. And Jeanette looks like a fun girl! :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat certainly seems to be a book with a difference.
ReplyDeleteLove your descriptive way of writing.
