LUCK BE A LADY

It's not everyday ya get a two-fer in a great giveaway but this Ozark farm chick sure knows how to rub the old magic lantern. Now, even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then but this lucky rockin' grandma found the whole dang bushel. Sweet Michelle over at ladyswordandtherose gifted me with this charmin' little summer dress. Michelle is a wife and mommy of three beautiful children. She has an enthralling christian blog about a vast array of life's battles. Don't ya know we all have a few of those smackin' us in the face just trying to tatter our joy? Please, go take a gander, I promise she won't let ya'll down. Thank you Michelle, I'm just beamin' with delight and tickled pink over this darlin' little dress!
Her sweet Royal Highness Princess Mary Poppins' in her dress~up weddin' dress just happens to be just the perfect size to step into the cute summer frock this year. Why her ladyship will be the belle of her Sunday School class. When her royal self outgrows it..................
.............the little twinkle toes of this chubby cheeked Royal Princess Toadstool (Mario Brothers), will step right into this fashionable attire and be the best dressed chicklett of any high pitched squeelin' little girls birthday party.

Yep, I'm as high as country air and happy as a puppy in fresh cut grass. I have been blessed. This is one lucky lady who's been running 'round the old Ponderosa all day beltin out Frank Sinatra's 1965 signature song, "Luck be a Lady!!!"

Here's a lovely summer dress for a lovely lady. Congrats , Nezzy for getting the giveaway!

Your grandaughters are perfect little models in charming little dresses. These little ones are great!

  31. You must post a picture of your granddaughter modeling the dress!

My sister-in-law came over Saturday morning - she was out yardsaling and had her 5 year old great granddaughter in tow. It was a cool, damp morning, and the child was wearing a tee shirt and shorts, and covered head to toe in her great grandmother's sweater. She was freezing. I went into my "gift closet," and emerged with size 5 pink leggings and a pink polka dotted sweater. This child has rarely, if ever, owned NEW clothes, and she was ELATED. My sister-in-law reported that she wouldn't take her new outfit off even to go to bed that night!

    I love dressing little girls!

  32. Okay Nezzie...so now we need a pic of you in that cute sundress. How 'bout it?
The onset of spring sure brightens up the spirit. I could feel it in your post.

  33. What a cute summery dress for a couple (at least!) of cute little gals!!!

My grandmother used to make dresses for me through my teens (being the only granddaughter had its advantages!), and my sister-in-law used to make matching dresses when our daughters were young.

There is nothing like it :)

  54. the dress brings back memories of the dresses mother used to make me when we lived in kentucky. I laughed when i saw the title of your blog, it made me remember the first time I saw little plants growing out of a cow patty. most folks don't know manure grows things like crazy. about 23 years ago, we had a brilliant idea of buying manure to make our backyard jungle grow. we cheerfuly spread it all around and the next day imagine our horror when our dog Max was rolling in it, ewwwww! once it was gone we never did that again.
